Clayton Thomas Wilson Sr., 78, of Janesville, WI passed away at Agrace Center for Hospice and Palliative Care on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 surrounded by his family. Clayton was born on December 29, 1936 in Richland County, WI, the son of Leonard and Violet (Sherman) Wilson. He served in the U. S. Army from 1954 to 1956 and married Beverly Ann Holloway on June 17, 1956. Clayton was employed for 42 years by General Motors in Janesville. He formerly attended Faith Community Church, was a former member of the Milton V.F.W. and was a member of U.A.W. Local # 95 Retirees. He was an avid Packer and Brewers fan. Clayton enjoyed to hunt and fish, but above all else his happiest times were spending time with family, especially his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his beloved dog, Wilson.
Clayton is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly, 4 children; Lora (Randy) Marsh of Milton, Sue Ann (Harlan Von Behren) Wilson of Richland Center, Clayton (Lori) Wilson Jr. of Milton, Jeffrey (Jeanne) Wilson of Kansas City, MO, his daughter-in-law, Juli Wilson of Whitewater, 9 grandchildren; Lindsay (John), Jerrod, Janelle, Alisha (Chuck), Clayton III, Chelsea (Luke), Brock, Bryce, Makenzy, 9 great-grandchildren; Trista, Faith, Caitlin, Austin, Dakota, Hayden, Brennen, Brogen, Denver, 2 sisters; Eleanor Wilmot and Ardella Shepherd, 1 brother, Darell Wilson and his dog, Wilson. In addition to his parents, Clayton was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Wilson who passed away December 18, 2014, a grandson, Luc Marsh, 1 sister, Evelyn Johnson and 2 brothers, Leonard Wilson Jr. and Gordon Wilson.
Funeral services will be at 12 Noon, Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, Janesville with Rev. Jerry Dean officiating. Entombment with military rites by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621 will be at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum . Visitation will be from 11 to noon Saturday at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home. Following the services at the cemetery, a luncheon and fellowship will be held at Emmanuel Free Methodist Church, 4224 Whilden Court, Janesville.
